Well, robots have shown us that nothing is impossible. We have seen China build Jia Jia which is a surprisingly human-like robot. Creators predict that AI robots can perform various tasks in nearby future, but at the same time, they can destroy everything related to humans. Recently, robot journalist made its debut in Chinese daily newspaper today with a 300 character article. The robot managed to write 300 characters long article in just a second. The article was focused on the Spring Festival travel rush. The robot goes by the name Xiao Nan, took just 1 second to finish the article. According to Wan Xiaojun, Professor at Peking University who leads the team involved in such robots claimed, the robot can write both short and longer reports. Professor Wan Xiaojun said “When compared with the staff reporters, Xiao Nan has a stronger data analysis capacity and is quicker at writing stories. But it does not mean intelligent robots will soon be able to completely replace reporters.” Right now the robots are unable to coordinate face-to-face interviews, can’t deal with follow up questions and doesn’t have the ability to select the news angle from an interview or individual conversation. “But robots will be able to act as a supplement, helping newspapers and related media, as well as editors and reporters” Professor Wan Xiaojun said So, what do you think about this?
