After spending over four years separated, the Giudice family was finally reunited and all of the drama was featured on the recent special for The Real Housewives of New Jersey. On the season finale of season 10, there were major bombs being dropped by both Joe Giudice and Teresa Giudice. Here’s a rundown of everything that happened during the Giudice family reunion.
Teresa is best known as the table-flipping diva of the New Jersey housewives. The reality star is known for not thinking before speaking with her fellow cast members. During the earlier seasons of the hit franchise, Giudice would seemingly cause trouble with her castmates and somehow manage to avoid all consequences by playing dumb. However, in 2013, both Joe and Teresa found themselves in trouble when they were indicted for filing a false bankruptcy report while trying to hide their wealth. Joe had other charges brought against him as well, also being indicted for failing to file tax returns between 2004 and 2008. While both were found guilty, it seemed to many that Teresa paid a high price and was sentenced to 15 months behind bars. While behind bars, her mother and father both became ill and she eventually lost her mother shortly after being released.
The season finale of The Real Housewives of New Jersey aired on Wednesday and Bravo decided to treat the episode a little differently as they split the show in half. The beginning half wrapped up the rest of the housewife’s storylines which included Danielle Staub telling the truth for once. While the second half was dedicated to the film crew following Teresa and her daughters to Italy to be reunited with Joe after his release from prison. The Giudice family reunion did not leave a dry eye in sight as after four years he finally was able to hug his daughters.
Joe actively tried throughout the segment to flirt with Teresa who did not seem interested. He told the cameras that he still wanted to work things out with his wife and assumed that she also wanted to try and work their relationship out as well. The family traveled to the Amalfi Coast where they took pictures and reconnected. During a family dinner over homemade pasta, the daughter cried which caused Joe to apologize to his daughters saying he was truly sorry for hurting them.
Fans were emotionally moved by the reunion but also have not forgotten the crimes that the reality star did commit. While his daughters may not be able to see him every day it is still a step up from being separated by a piece of glass while in prison. Overall Joe seemed happy and healthy and living his best life possible and it seems Teresa is happy with her decision to leave Joe as well.
