The face of the Bravo network, Andy Cohen recalls his first reunion with RHOC’s Vicki Gunvalson. Even though it is an end of an era, the television host has fond memories of his time with the OG.

Fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County were taken aback to learn that the Coto Insurance CEO had been demoted from the cast earlier this year to friend status. Gunvalson had always wedged herself into the drama, whether it was her break up with Brooks Ayers or her fights with the other women. Viewers witnessed a small miracle this season as Kelly Dodd and Gunvalson seemingly put their hate for one another aside and patched things up. The two housewives had been in an ongoing feud since Vicki insinuated at the last reunion from season 13 that Dodd was addicted to cocaine. Even though their amends did not last long, Gunvalson then tried fighting with Braunwyn Windham-Burke. Now, the original real housewife is looking for some respect from the other ladies.

According to U.S. Weekly, the host of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen took to his social media only hours after Gunvalson dropped the news that she would not be returning to The Real Housewives of Orange County. Cohen started his post by saying that he could vividly remember the first Real Housewives reunion, saying that intermittently their eyes would meet and she would wink at him to help encourage him to continue with his rounds of questions. Cohen said that she would wink at him “year after year” and it always made him smile. The Bravo host also said that Gunvalson was an original who continued to remain true to herself from the very first day up until her last reunion. The host applauded Gunvalson’s ability to remain exactly who she was after working on television for so long saying Gunvalson was “one of a kind.”

The 57-year-old California native shocked her followers on Friday when she announced that she would not be returning for season 15. The reality star had said that she and the Bravo network were “unequally aligned” and that she would not return if she was not a full-time cast member. The housewife told her fans that she would always be the OG of the OC but that it was time for her to move on to a new adventure. She did inform her fans that she would be starting a podcast called “Whoop it up with Vicki.”

While the time has come for Gunvalson to step down from the throne, fans and co-stars alike sent out well wishes for her future. Both Kyle Richards and Shannon Beador said that they would always be thankful to her for starting the franchise. Fans still have two out of three ‘Tres Amigas" as Tamra Judge and Beador are still cast members and expected to be seen in the new season. It will take some time to get used to the idea of Gunvalson not being a part of the weekly line up, but fans are wishing her all the best.
