Reuters Refutes Bloomberg Isuppli S Claim Says Lg Is Providing Retina Displays For New Ipad

Specifically calling out yesterday’s Bloomberg report that said Samsung was the sole supplier of panels for the iPad 3; Reuters said today that LG is indeed providing Retina Displays for the new iPad.

The previous report cited quality issues with LG and Sharp’s products as the reason they were not able to provide displays to Apple. We are a few days away from finding out one way or the other via teardowns.

“LG is also in a panel supply deal with Samsung for the new iPad,” the source said.
