The game takes pride in its retro inspiration. A vibrantly colorful 8-bit world is accompanied by chiptune music, and the game harks back to the nostalgic “golden age” of RPGs.

The player sets off on an epic quest to defeat the devilish dragon Wyrmvarg with the help of humans, elves, and dwarves – all backed by a score composed by Square alumnus Ryuji Sasai.

The game promises a job system with more than 16 collectible jobs (with changing costumes) to provide a deep variety of customization and strategic possibilities.

With a cast of up to 12 party members spanning 3 races, there are plenty of team combinations and effects to try out in a combat system reminiscent of the early Final Fantasy games.

Dragon Sinker can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store. A Premium Edition, featuring extra 1000 in-app points, is also available and is currently on sale for $4.99 (standard price: $7.99).
