The PS5 version of Resident Evil 8 supports the system’s signature Tempest 3D Audio with compatible headsets, “making you feel the hair-raising sounds coming from every direction.”

Capcom’s also aiming to use the DualSense for even more immersion. The adaptive triggers have different weights and pull resistances for different weapons, while haptic feedback is said to simulate the feeling of firing a real gun.

Resident Evil 8 on PS5 will include ray tracing and support 4K visuals. Of course, like other PS5 titles, there will be “almost no load times” for the survival horror game.

While the Xbox Series X|S store listing doesn’t spell out specifics like the PS Store listing, it does mention Resident Evil 8 for XSX|S will have “unparalleled” load times and visuals.

Resident Evil Village is set for a 2021 release on next-gen consoles. Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more Resident Evil news as it develops.
