In its report, Intel explained that the error occurs in the Intel Management Engine (ME), where an attacker could execute a malicious code and thus access privileged information and, if desired, take control of the computer. However, now apart from this if we talk about the electronic goods then it is difficult to guess what is happening to electronics manufacturers to allow something like this to happen. It is not the only case that we have lived this year. What is certain is that it is the first time we talk about HP laptops. As recently, security experts have discovered that the driver related to the keyboard of these devices is accompanied by a keylogger, responsible for collecting information introduced by this way. But before continuing, it is necessary to add a refinement. The code is in the SynTP.sys file. By default, it is not activated. It is true that it would suffice to modify a registry key of the Windows operating system to activate this function. It simply indicates for this scenario to occur, it is necessary to access the equipment remotely and activate this function, something that is not simple but is not impossible either. Even recently, we also reported that the researchers in the United States have developed a high-speed encryption system that prevents hackers from breaking into computer systems and these quantum encryption techniques could be widely used. According to the new study published online this week in Science Advances, the system can create and distribute encryption codes at rates of megabits per second, between five and ten times faster than current methods, and at the same rate as the current of the Internet when operating several systems in parallel. Researchers at Duke University, Ohio State University and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory demonstrated that the technique is effective against common attacks, even in the face of equipment failures that could open loopholes. However, recently to make the security more strong in sensitive environments like the military, a team of Korean researchers which is led by Yang-Kyu Choi who is from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) School of Electrical Engineering, discovered a potential solution and has created PUFs (Physical Unclonable Functions), which are Unhackable and virtually indestructible. Let me make terms easy for you to understand, as in simpler word PUFs could be seen as fingerprints that will simply add a unique layer of security and identity to each chip on a computer device basically they will be created when each chip will get manufactured and the most interesting thing about this system is that due to this uniqueness, they can’t be cloned as well.

The NEM-PUF which is mentioned here is actually created by using extremely tiny silicon nanowire that is suspended in a liquid between 2 gates that simply representing 1 and 0. However, during the manufacturing process, the liquid gets evaporated and the wire randomly sticks to one of the gates. Hence, when a bunch of these chips based on PUFs will be put together, simply it will create a long and a random security code. So, now it is clear to you all that, if someone will try to access or penetrate the data without this code, simply the access would be denied. So, what do you think about these new chips which are based on PUFs? Simply share all your views and thoughts in the comment section below.
