If you’re planning to give anyone a Retina iPad Mini as a holiday gift, it might be advisable to buy it sooner rather than later. Retina iPad Mini supplies are expected to remain constrained for the rest of the year, with two analysts both estimating production at around two million units. This is a very small number in what is likely to be a quarter with high demand. KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo and IHS iSuppli’s Rhoda Alexander had both previously said they expected supply to be very tight, but this is the first time we’ve had sight of KGI’s estimates of the numbers....

This twin-stick shooter beats players over the head with its difficulty but lacks the chops to make that challenge entertaining or fulfilling. This occult western challenges players to mow down formidable waves of monsters and zombified outlaws. Those skilled and patient enough to overcome Ritual’s brutal opposition will find its ho-hum design and flawed progression dashes any sense of reward or satisfaction....

Yesterday it was discovered that HomePod can leave white rings on oiled wood finishes during normal use — something that is not obvious nor ideal. Apple responded by saying that it’s not unusual for ‘vibration-dampening silicone’ to react that way and recommended customers use HomePod on different surfaces. Now a new test has backed up that claim from Apple and highlighted another smart speaker that has a similar behavior… Tom’s Guide reviewer Mike Prospero has published photos that show Sonos One, one of HomePod’s closest competitors, similarly leaves marks on affected wood surfaces....

Over the years, across multiple timelines and endless realities, Rick and Morty has given us some of the most memorable and unusual characters in science fiction. Their slate of supporting characters, while sometimes mystifying, is unrivaled for its creativity. It’s no wonder considering the plethora of worlds Rick and his high pitched grandson have visited. In season three the show took some inspiration from Mad Max in the second episode ‘Rickmancing the Stone,’ and introduced us to a team of Death-Stalkers....

As Riverdale nears the end of its first season, viewers are no closer to finding out who killed Jason Blossom (Trevor Stines) - although the show has certainly revealed plenty of other secrets along the way. With only four episodes left to go and a second season confirmed, fans are even starting to wonder if the murder mystery will be solved in season 1 or if it will be dragged out into the next one....

An Apple Support Communities thread has multiple reports of stuck keys on the 12-inch MacBook. Some users report that they were able to resolve the issue themselves by cleaning out debris, while others have had machines replaced by Apple under warranty … For some, the issue appears to be dirt or crumbs getting trapped in the ultra-shallow travel keyboard. Some users in the thread report success with carefully lifting stuck keys with a spudger and using compressed air to clear out dirt or crumbs....

It depends on how much gold, in terms of weight, is actually in the Apple Watch. Apple itself described the model as solid 18-karat gold, but we still don’t know for sure. We have at least an estimate, however, with Greg Koenig (via Forbes) creating a 3D render of the Apple Watch (above) and estimating around 29.16g, or approximately $1200, worth of gold. Factor in everything else included in manufacturing the watch and Apple’s usual markup and Koenig thinks the watch won’t come in below $5000....
