I keep a box with around 20 iPad styluses next to my desk, so every time a new stylus arrives, I can easily compare it against its predecessors and rivals. There hasn’t been much functional innovation in the category for a couple of years, but stylus form factors, batteries, and buttons have changed, generally getting simpler and smaller after each generation. Even so, Adonit’s new Jot Dash ($50) surprised me. It comes less than 6 months after the release of Jot Script 2 (reviewed here), but looks and feels a lot different from its predecessor....

Researchers have focused on Redox-based, resistive switching random access memory (ReRAM). Companies like Panasonic and SanDisk have tested ReRAM chips and will hit the market very soon. Well, computer processors today use the binary system where bits of data are represented as either a 0 or 1. On the other hand, ReRam uses the ternary system which opens the door for storing larger amounts of data. ReRAM has an excellent long-term storage capacity and can be produced at a nanoscale....

Robert Pattinson’s Batman costume in Matt Reeves’ The Batman includes goggles, which could introduce an iconic Dark Knight design element: white eyes. The director of the highly-anticipated DC picture unveiled the first look at Pattinson’s version of Batman in a camera test shoot. Although Siri has come under some scrutiny related to its inability to handle thick accents (and its inability to serve up abortion related results), we’re not sure we’ll be seeing Robin’s idea of localized accents for Siri’s voice anytime soon. That being said, some work on accommodating English-speakers with accents could be in order....

In line with last week’s expectations of an updated Google Maps app, Google has begun rolling out version 2.0 of Google Maps for iOS today. Most notably, the new application includes support for the large touch screens found on the iPad and iPad mini. Additionally, like with the recent update to the Android version, enhanced navigation with incident reports and live traffic updates are included. Also new is an Explore function to browse popular places such as restaurants, shopping, playing, and sleeping....

Capcom has announced two new Mastermind characters and two maps for Resident Evil Resistance, the 4 versus 1 multiplayer game that is being included with Resident Evil 3. The Mastermind characters will be the infamous villains Alex Wesker and Ozwell E. Spencer. Both characters will be included with the title when it launches alongside Resident Evil 3 on April 3, 2020. Resident Evil Resistance is an asymmetrical multiplayer game that will force a team of four players to work together as the Mastermind lays traps and sends hordes of monsters after them....
