Riverdale star Ashleigh Murray is reprising her role as Josie McCoy in The CW’s spinoff series pilot, Katy Keene. An adaptation of the Archie Comics, Riverdale follows iconic characters like Archie Andrews, Veronica Lodge, and Jughead Jones during their years in high school. The show’s first season also introduced Josie and the Pussycats as a group of teenagers and wannabe professional musicians, led by their talented lead singer and songwriter, Miss McCoy....

The creator of Deadpool has released a sketch on social media that further connects Pokémon with the “Merc with a Mouth”, as Rob Liefeld has uploaded a picture of his own take on the title character of Detective Pikachu. Detective Pikachu is based on a video game that involves a sleuth version of Pikachu that can only be understood by the main character. The fans had originally wanted Danny DeVito to play the role of Detective Pikachu in the movie, but the part was eventually claimed by Ryan Reynolds, who had become closely associated with the role of Deadpool....

Samsung is actively looking in to bringing iOS support to its latest smartwatch, the Gear S2, according to a report from Digital Spy. The UK-based site spoke with one of the company’s spokespeople who confirmed that it was “positively looking into opening it up.” Apart from the Samsung Gear Live — one of the earliest Android Wear watches — all of the Korean tech giant’s Gear wearables have been restricted to use with Galaxy smartphones only....

A new report from Asian site TechNews.tw claims information from the Apply supply chain points to the next generation iPad Air doubling up on RAM from 1GB to 2GB. The additional memory would benefit system performance, especially during multitasking, when more memory-intesive tasks like browsing multiple websites in Safari and using other apps requires more RAM to function smoothly. While most of the parts and component leaks out of the supply chain have centered around the next generation iPhone, which is expected to debut at an Apple event next month, the new report that the next generation iPad Air will double its memory follows a Bloomberg report earlier this month that new iPads with an anti-reflective coating over the display have entered production....

Resident Evil 2 almost had a first-person mode implemented in the remake, according to the development team. In another Capcom developer roundtable discussion, the team behind the popular re-imagining flirted with the idea of using first-person and fixed-camera mode for the remake to more closely align it with the original 1998 release. Resident Evil 2 is a great game, the rare remake that improves upon its source content in nearly every way....

Reuters is today releasing a new app for iPhone called Reuters TV that offers access to on-demand video content and live feeds of Reuters’ live coverage of certain events. The app also offers the ability to auto-download content for offline viewing and customization features that Reuters says tailors content to your location and interests. One of those features is the ability to set the length of your personalized news show from 5 to 30 minutes....

Robot vacuums have been around for several years, but they’ve advanced in quality and intelligence quite a bit in recent years. My wife and I tried several lower-cost models years ago, but we weren’t impressed with their intelligence as they frequently miss items. They were suitable for midweek cleanups, but they weren’t good enough to get rid of your full-size vacuum cleaner. In the past year, I’ve added two Robo vacuums to our house....

I’ve tested almost every major iPad keyboard case since the first iPad was released five years ago, and still recall when companies charged $100 for greasy vinyl folios with terrible, squishy rubber keys. I was disappointed when Apple didn’t offer a leather Smart Cover for the 2018 12.9-inch iPad Pro. I’ve always had these on my earlier iPads. What I liked about them is that they offered screen protection with little added thickness, and also folded back into a convenient stand. We’ve been testing the Proscenic M7 Pro and iRobot Roomba s9+ with Apple’s HomeKit (using Homebridge to add IoT devices that aren’t directly supported), so we have two different maps of our flat created with two different mapping technologies. Proscenic uses Lidar, while iRobot uses cameras to build a map designed to help the vacuums clean more efficiently and not bump into or get stuck under the furniture, as well as finding their way back to their base stations to charge....

As it continues to test a major redesign of its iOS and Android apps, Snapchat is also reportedly working on extending the reach of its popular Stories feature. According to a report from Cheddar, Stories Everywhere would allow users to share Stories in other applications and on the web… Cheddar likens the feature to Twitter’s support for embedding tweets across the web. Snap hopes that users will be more likely to create Stories if they’re able to share them on other platforms....
