Twelve South is known for making some of the best Apple accessories available and this past week I’ve been using their new MagicBridge which joins Apple’s Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad 2 together. The newest trailer for Dolittle sees Robert Downey Jr. fighting a dragon. I’ve been using a new iPhone application called Reprise as my main iPhone music player for the past few weeks, and it makes a fantastic replacement for certain iPhone music listeners. In 2005, Apple took the concept of song shuffling to their biggest extreme yet with the iPod shuffle. An iPod dedicating to shuffling your music. That music player still exists, but the iPod line in general has been caniblized by the iPhone and iPod touch and their iOS operating system....

We do our best to keep the power cords tidy and out of view, and it’s easy with the gadgets that always stay in the same spot, such as the air fryer. For others like the stand mixer, we regularly pull it to the front of the counter when using it and then it’s back to its corner. I get it — keeping “unsightly” cords unseen isn’t exactly one of the major issues of our time, but it does make the space look less messy....

Events in Riverdale steeped up a notch in last week’s episode, “Heart of Darkness,” when Betty Cooper realized that her dad, Hal, could be responsible for the murder of Jason Blossom. Her conclusion came after Hal’s revelation that his grandfather had been murdered by grandfather Blossom, and that Jason had broken off his engagement with Betty’s sister, Polly. Not only that, but a final scene revealed that Hal now has the contents of Sheriff Keller’s ‘murder board,’ plus the files that were stolen from his office....

Vicki Gunvalson was demoted this season on The Real Housewives of Orange County from one of the OG main housewives to “friend of the housewives,” but her co-star Shannon Beador still considers her one of the housewives. The “tres amigas” - consisting of Tamra Judge, Shannon, and Vicki - are here to stay. Vicki, the “OG of the OC,” has been demoted this season after 14 years as a main housewife on the original housewife show, she was demoted this season to “friend of the housewives....

A familiar face stood in for Carrie Fisher during a key flashback scene in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: her daughter, Billie Lourd. Fisher is beloved by Star Wars fans for her portrayal of Princess and eventual General Leia Organa in the original and sequel trilogies. Her participation in the sequel trilogy in particular helped usher in a new band of heroes. Among these was Lourd’s character, Lieutenant Kaydel Ko Connix, a junior controller for the Resistance....

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker toys with the idea of killing two beloved legacy characters, but isn’t brave enough to go through with either one. Though J.J. Bloomberg has published an interesting look at how retailers are partially footing the bill for lucrative rewards cards like Apple Card. Specifically, Apple Card is designated as an “elite” card, which means retailers have to pay higher interchange fees when someone uses it. The report explains that interchange fees are paid by retailers, not directly by consumers. It’s part of the “cost of accepting credit cards.” Elite cards, such as Apple Card, impose higher transaction fees in order to support their rewards programs....

Aislelabs, a Toronto-based company offering in-store analytics and solutions for building mobile shopping experiences, today released a report examining how Apple’s Bluetooth iBeacon technology impacts battery life on iOS devices vs Android. The study found that Apple’s iBeacon framework, first introduced with iOS 7 to let iOS developers take advantage of Bluetooth beacons for sending location-aware notifications, actually performs better with Android, at least when it comes to battery life:...

Tech companies have been talking more about privacy in recent years, and Apple proudly says that it protects user data more than anyone else. This week, new research by Douglas Leith from Trinity College showed that Google collects up to 20 times more data from Android users compared to the data Apple collects from iOS users. As reported by Ars Technica, the research analyzed the amount of telemetry data transmitted directly to the companies responsible for the iOS and Android operating systems....

A popular Rick and Morty theory gives Evil Morty an even larger connection to Rick and the show overall. Debuting on Cartoon Network back in 2013, the zany animated series quickly gained notoriety for its humor and creativity. Focusing on a dimension-traveling grandpa and grandson (Rick and Morty respectively), the series has pushed the limits of what the viewers will accept, like the famous Pickle Rick. The adventures of Rick and Morty are vast in the three seasons that it’s been on air, and fans of the beloved show already know that Rick and Morty will continue on for a long time after 70 new episodes were ordered....

Update: A Spotify spokesperson tells us Bloomberg’s report regarding search results being buried is “unequivocally false”. Following reports that Universal Music is preventing artists from agreeing to exclusive streaming deals with Apple Music and others, new reports claim Spotify is now limiting promotion of artists that take deals with rivals. The New York Times reports that Spotify has recently implemented a new policy that will essentially see artists punished for taking exclusives with other services, ensuring those artists aren’t featured prominently on the service once becoming available....
